"Glee" star Matthew Morrison is now married to model-actress girlfriend Renee Puente!
It was a gleeful moment for the couple and the fifty family members and friends who witnessed the actor and his girlfriend tie the knot in a private ceremony in Hawaii on October 18.
Morrison and Puente were married in a private estate in Maui, according to a report from People. The groom reportedly wore a custom Brooks Brothers tuxedo, while the bride was clad in a Gustavo Cadile gown. Puente also sported a pink flower crown and carried a bouquet with the same color scheme.
The intimate wedding was also very musical as the bride reportedly walked down the aisle while pianist Chad Widden played and singer Kiley Dean sang "Feels Like Home." After the ceremony, Puente performed a Hula dance and she and Morrison sang a duet of Laura Benanti's "Starry Eyed/Video Games."
"It was a small affair," said a source to Us Weekly (quote via EntertainmentWise). "They wanted to keep it intimate and special."
The couple announced their relationship in 2011 and shared the news of their engagement in June 2013. Morrison reportedly announced their plan to tie the knot during Elton John and David Furnish's White Tie and Tiara ball in London on June 27, 2013. After the announcement, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and Elton John performed a duet of "Your Song" in honor of the couple.
Morrison shared the news to fans the next day via a Twitter post, saying: "An incredible night of LOVE @ejaf Ball. I'm going to marry my best friend! Happy day for me and @Renee_Puente."
After receiving well wishes, the actor tweeted, "In a world filled with so much negativity, I'm so inspired by all of the positive wishes for our engagement! Means so much to us! Thanks!"
Their marriage is the first for both Matthew Morrison and Renee Puente.
