It seems that the Selena Gomez Rudderless movie news involves a change of pace in Selena Gomez's usual character studies.
Gomez, who stars alongside Jamie Chung and Billie Crudup, has been reported to have tackled this role differently, as she is seen here to portray a character that is dark and mature, as opposed to her usual roles that are geared more towards very teeny-bopper, childish roles.
The "Nobody Does It Like You" singer, has also sang the soundtrack for the movie, along with singer and songwriter Ben Kweller. The soundtrack, entitled "Hold On" features Selena and Ben harmonizing over the folk genre of the song and sharing hot cups of coffee. The lyrics read: "Rely on your friends, they will get you through, they're there for you/ Ooh yeah," "Hold on/ And suddenly you'll find your way/ Hold on/ 'Til yesterday is far away."

Macy, known to be an acclaimed actor, and who is also apparently reposible for directing Rudderless. In the music video, Macy is also found singing in the background while playing the keyboard.
According to critics, the higlight of the movie is the music, not selena or any of the cast, as all the soundtracks have been written very thoughtfully and executed very gracefully, thus making these really in line with the theme of the movie, which is (you guessed it,) Music.
Rudderless' plot features the life of a father. According to imdb.com: "A grieving father in a downward spiral stumbles across a box of his recently deceased son's demo tapes and lyrics. Shocked by the discovery of this unknown talent, he forms a band in the hope of finding some catharsis."
This movie is a great move for Selena, especially after news of her being pregnant with her boyfriend, Justin Bieber's supposed son, surfaced the internet. Whether or not the news is true, only Selena and Biebs will know for sure.
