Xiaomi is already a household name as far as smartphone users are concerned , particularly to those who want a budget-friendly phone but possesses premium features. Every product they have launched has been a total hit so far among users in China, that they decided to bring their products to their neighboring countries such as Singapore, Taiwan, Hongkong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and recently, India.

Apparently, it's not all-good news for the Chinese tech giant as recently, they have been receiving complaints about the performance of their top-seller product for mid-range smartphones, the Redmi 1S. According to users, the device's temperature reaches up to 45-degrees Celsius when used continually. Also, some of its apps unexpectedly quit when the user is running multiple apps at the same time, as well as UI lag issues.

As users in India awaited the 6th flash sale of Redmi 1S via Flipkart last October 14, Xiaomi's Vice President for International Operations Hugo Barra addressed the issues concerning the said device. " Today we released an over-the-air system update (v45) for the Redmi 1S. This release incorporates feedback received from a large number of users and addresses a few important issues," Barra posted on Xiaomi's Facebook account for India.

Barra added that the system update of Redmi 1S for India will pretty much solve the major problems encountered by its users. The device now has an improved thermal control algorithm which will keep the temperature at 38-degrees Celsius under normal usage conditions. It now also has an improved RAM so that active multiple apps will still function. The company has also made improvements to the performance of Redmi 1S's user interface to address UI lag concerns.

Xiaomi has reportedly released 100,000 units on the upcoming flash sale in India, following its 2 successful flash sales wherein the company only released 60,000 of their units consecutively, that shoppers kept clamoring for more. And as expected, it was sold out in minutes. Redmi 1S is priced in India at 5,999 INR, which is roughly US$89. Let's all see what happens on October 21 as they will again hold another flash sale of the Redmi 1S.
