Blake Lively's Preserve website is being slammed for an alleged "slavery-themed" fashion feature.

According to a report from news.com.au, the former "Gossip Girl" actress was criticized for a post entitled "Allure Of Antebellum". The said feature allegedly "glamorizes America's dark, pre-Civil War slavery past", said the report.

Blake Lively's Preserve post read: "The term 'Southern Belle' came to fruition during the Antebellum period (prior to the Civil War), acknowledging women with an inherent social distinction who set the standards for style and appearance."

The feature continued: "These women epitomised Southern hospitality with a cultivation of beauty and grace, but even more with a captivating and magnetic sensibility. While at times depicted as coy, these belles of the ball, in actuality could command attention with the ease of a hummingbird relishing a pastoral bloom."

Readers criticized the said post, which allegedly failed to look at the "wider issue" of African American slavery, which is said to be related to the South pre-Civil War.

Prior to posting the alleged "slavery-themed" feature, Blake Lively's Preserve website reportedly crashed after posting the actress' pregnancy announcement.

According to a report from LA Times, the big announcement was made through a beautiful photograph that showed Ryan Reynolds' "Green Lantern" leading lady wife against sun beams, holding her growing baby bump.

The traffic reportedly caused the lifestyle portal to crash, said LA Times.

Blake Lively's Preserve website posted about the pregnancy announcement: "Preserve at its core is about family. 'Family' is the single word our founder, Blake built this home on."

The post continued: "We have something for men, for women, for the old, but we realized, we don't have anything for the new. With family on our mind, we looked to the origin of it all - to the women in our lives who are right there, at that special moment; at the creation of family."

While no official statement has been given about the baby's due date, LA Times added that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' baby will most likely arrive by winter.
