The Flash Series Spoiler, News, And Updates: Grant Gustin Teases Time Travel Element In The Show

Oct 25, 2014 05:46 AM EDT | By Staff Reporter

(Watch out: The Flash series spoilers ahead) In the latest episode of the Flash series, we saw flashbacks featuring Robbie Amell's Ronnie Raymond and how became an MIA. Raymond, who is also known as the Firestorm, is the fiancee of Danielle Panabaker's Caitlin Snow who becomes the Killer Frost in the comics. The scenes in the episode called Things You Can't Outrun happened months before Dr. Harrison Wells (played by Tom Cavanagh) discovered (there's other term for this) the speedster superhero so it is understandable that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) wasn't there in the STAR labs. However, according to Gustin, his Barry Allen will be a big part of events that happened long before he donned the red costume. Not as the innocent forensic investigator or the crying kid but as the super fast The Flash. He will revisit the past via time travel.

A fan asked TV Line for a the Flash series spoiler, if Iris Allen "hail from the 31st Century like she does in the comic books?" and entertainment's Matt Webb Mitovich gave the fan more than what he asked for. Although Matt said he can't confirm the answer to his question but he did say that there will be a time travel in some episodes.

Mitovich wrote:

"I am unable to speak to that specifically, but series lead Grant Gustin confirmed during our visit to the set, "Time travel will be a part of the show" - and seemingly at Barry's own, inadvertent doing. "The first time it happens, I think it's an accident, and that's going to be fun to play with," he said. "I'm looking forward to that."

Another the Flash series spoiler that Mitovich revealed is about Dr. Wells' failure to contain the possible arrival of metahumans.

"If you fear that Dr. Wells learned nothing from the Ghostbusters, you would be correct. "There will be more characters [going] into the metahuman prison" located within S.T.A.R. Labs, Gustin says, "and there's a possibility things could go wrong with that." Sigh, no one listens to William Atherton."
