The Gotham TV series ended its last episode with a bang. Robin Lord Taylor's Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin, resurfaced in the police department just in time to save Jim Gordon (Ben MecKenzie) from getting jailed for allegedly murdering him. In case you haven't been following (Gotham TV series spoiler here so be careful), Gordon was told by Falcone to kill Cobblepot to make sure that he's in the same page with the mob. Clearly, he didn't. Now, with the Penguin back, Gordon will be in a lot of troubles and he might not make it alone.

Good thing though a guy with the same principle as him will arrive in the city. In an earlier Gotham TV series spoiler update from Den of Geek, it is revealed that Dent, who will be played by Nicholas D'Agosto, will form a bond with Gordon. Although in the comics he eventually became one of Batman's main nemesis, in Gotham TV series, he will be a police officer who want to end the corruption in the city.

Nicholas D'Agosto, known for his role in Heroes and Masters of Sex, spoke to DC All Access regarding his role in Gotham TV series. According to the 34-year old actor, it is still up in the air how Harvey Dent will be portrayed but he is sure that Jim Gordon will remain as the advocate of justice.

"I instantly come in and get to walk in as the Harvey Dent who's the white knight, you know? Who's trying to do the right thing," D'Agosto said "I think what's exciting about it is that they are pulling from a lot of different storylines from a lot of Batman iterations so how they want to use me exactly is a little bit up in the air."

Gotham TV series spoiler said that Harvey Dent will appear on the ninth episode of the show.

"In episode nine, we're meeting him," McKenzie told Den of Geek. "What's great about him is he's another idealistic assistant DA who understands, just like Jim does, how corrupt this place is. There's no hint yet about a dark side to this guy. It's much more about is he going to help Jim through this world or are they actually going to be at odds? Are they two north magnets? That's what we're going to explore."
