Lumia 830 codenamed 'Tesla' was unveiled at the second day of IFA along with Nokia's two other flagship phones Lumia 735 and Lumia 730. It said to be available on At&t but the release date is still unkown.
According to Microsoft VP Chris Weber "it's on par with its flagship equivalents from Samsung and Apple."
"Our goal is to call out Apple and Samsung in terms of the premium they're charging."
He also added the Nokia Lumia 830 is "the first affordable flagship,"
According to reports, it will support Qi and PMA wireless charging, which are definitely plus factors when it comes to convenience. With this technology, you don't have to charge with those pesky wires. You just have to bring the charging dock and you're ready to go.
The midranger phone ,priced at $434, sports a 5inch screen and 1280 x 720 resolution. Its design is a resemblance of the Lumia 930 and will be available in different vibrant hues as Lumia's trademark.
The phone marketed to be an affordable high-end phones boasts the Denim update an essential update for Lumia smartphone users. It features improvements to Cortana and camera of the Lumia.
Cortana is a personal assistant of Lumia phones. The new update include a more responsive Cortana. The app responses to the phrase "Hey Cortana!" even across the room.
Its PureView camera offers a bright and clear image on its 10MP rear camera. Though a 1MP front camera is a little bit disappointing for the selfie fanatics.
This midranger phone is armed with a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM. Its internal memory of 16GB and expandable up to 128GB memory via a MicroSD is enough for large files storage and is backed up of 15GB of OneDrive storage.
Other features include wireless charging that shows different notifications, that lacks in other high-end devices in the arket today and Nokia MixRadio App that offers a clear and loud sound.
The Nokia Lumia 830 is an affordable phone for the mass market who wants a taste of high-end features. It will be availabele for retail this month.
