Supernatural Season 10 Recap: Is Blood Really Thicker Than Water Or Are Sam And Dean Really Just Stubborn?

Are Dean's demon days finally behind him? Read this 'Supernatural' season 10 recap to find out if Dean really has recovered from being turned into the thing he hates the most.

Heeding Castiel's advice for the Dean to take some time off from the "family business," the brothers lounge around, donning sunglasses and drinking beer. Sam wants Dean to take it easy because he was just cured and he still has Cain's mark. They still don't know what would happen should the older Winchester kill someone with the mark still activated.

There might be a shadow falling over the Winchesters but on the other hand, comedic Dean is back.

The awkward R&R doesn't last long though. Dean says he "needs" to hunt and as soon as Sam reluctantly agrees, they take off to investigate a series of werewolf attacks.

When they arrive at the county, they discover Kate, the infected werewolf they let go in season eight. She immediately confesses to the killing but before Dean could kill her, she manages to escape.

The next day, they follow her to a motel but the girl werewolf there isn't Kate. However, Kate confesses that it had was actually her sister. Tasha was the one who killed all those people.

She tells them the truth about how she turned Tasha to save her life. Her younger sister had been in a really bad accident and she thought turning her could save her. However, Tasha couldn't follow her controlled lifestyle and gave in to the darkness.

Kate promises to help her sister get better if the brothers let them go but Dean lies about a possible cure to lure her into telling them where Tasha is. When they get to the cabin, however, two other werewolves get into the fight. They easily overpower them, but Kate is long gone. In her place is a dead Tasha, killed by Kate's silver knife.

Kate says she had no choice because the girl that she talked to in the cabin wasn't her sister anymore. She had been too far gone into the darkness for any kind of hope.

This 'Supernatural' season 10 recap may only have been for a filler episode but the relationship between Kate and her sister definitely parallels Sam and Dean's relationship as well. Both sets of siblings deal with the darkness that their family members have to deal with but each one of them reacted differently.

Where Kate's eyes were opened to the hopelessness of the situation, Sam stubbornly refused to give up on his brother. Even if that meant that he too would have to go down the same dark path.

Will the Winchesters finally stop being stubborn and just admit that there's something wrong or will they continue to tiptoe around each other?

Another question that needs to be answered is, has Dean really been cured already? Find out in future 'Supernatural' season 10 recaps here!
