CNet has disclosed that Microsoft is now launching new apps for its Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint to make them friendlier to smart phones and tables operating through Google's and Apple 's OS.

On the gaming front, Microsoft has strengthened its position in the video gaming world through its acquisition of "Minecraft" for a whopping $ 2.5 Billion, according to The Verge.
