Great American Cookies Gives out Free Cookies on National Cookie Day

Nov 19, 2014 01:32 AM EST | By Staff Reporter

Great American Cookies, the only brand endorsed by Santa Claus himself, will give out free original chocolate chip cookies to customers who visit their stores wearing Santa hats.

Don't have a Santa hat? Great American Cookies provided a downloadable cut and paste santa hat on their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/greatamericancookies.

"Cookie companies have been asking me to be their spokesman for a thousand years. I always told my agent I wouldn't do it unless it's a product I can truly get my sleigh behind, but Great American Cookies is the real deal," said Santa Claus

"National Cookie Day is my second favorite day of the year (besides Christmas of course), and I'm inviting everyone to taste the wholesomeness of Great American Cookies in celebration."

Santa Claus himself declared the brand as his all time favorite cookie during the press conference held at one of the Great American Cookies location. Even Mrs. Claus admitted that she never actually baked her own cookies but bought them from the brand instead.

"Great American Cookies is all about sharing the fun and merriment of National Cookie Day and now that we have Santa's support, we couldn't be jollier," said David Kaiser, vice president, Great American Cookies.

"We celebrate cookies year round, but this holiday season we'd also like to remind people that Great American Cookies make great gifts for friends and family and Cookie Cakes for all holiday gatherings - much tastier than fruit cakes and figgy pudding," he added.

Great American Cookies started out in 1977 based on an old family chocolate chip recipe, and 35 years after, has maintained the integrity and heritage of its products by making cookie dough exclusively made from its plant in Atlanta.

Great American Cookies is famous for its signature Cookie Cakes and various flavors. The brand has branches in malls all throughout the country as well as international locations in Chile, Bahrain, Mexico, Guam, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico and United Arab Emirates.
