Top author Cecelia Ahern is currently in the development stage of a new show.
The Malahide native launched her TV career with top TV show Samantha Who, starring Christina Applegate in the States, and she's now penning a new script.
"I'm still doing the German TV series that I've been working on at the moment and I'm in talks with a new network about something else," she revealed to the Herald.
"So I'm in day-dreaming world where I'm trying to create something for them so this is the best time really.
"All I can say is that it's for an English-speaking network and it's at the development stage so it always takes a while before I can fully reveal the details," she added.
Cecelia has had a busy year with the release of the film adaptation of her novel Love, Rosie and says she's looking forward to relaxing with her family this Christmas.
"At Christmas I just love to eat and spend time with my family," she said.
"I'm not sure where we'll be spending Christmas Day yet as it depends on who is cooking this year - one of us does Christmas Day and then someone else does Stephen's Day.
"David loves cooking so if we're doing a turkey he will do it. We always have everyone over, all my family and Georgina and Nicky's [Byrne] family, so there's always loads of us around," she added.
And while she has made a tidy sum through book sales and movie releases, Cecelia (33) doesn't have expensive taste when it comes to gifts.
"I've asked for knitting needles and wool for Christmas because I want to get into knitting," she revealed.
"I was watching Nadia [Forde] knitting on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! and I thought 'That looks so relaxing, I want to knit' so that's at the top of my Christmas list this year," she added.
The mum-of-two has started the festive season on a high after she won her first Irish Book Award this week.
Cecelia won the Pop Fiction Book of The Year Award for hew book, The year I Met You which was her first win after multiple nominations since publishing her first book PS, I Love You in 2004.
"After eight nominations I nearly fell off my seat when I won but it's a massive honour and I get star-struck with all the authors. For me this is the Oscars of the book world," she gushed.
