Some fans of Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) are probably growing impatient because "Hannibal" Season 3 release date is yet to be revealed. Well, you can do nothing but wait. It will come anyway and based on earlier spoilers, you can expect nothing but bigger and better world of cannibalism and psycho wars.

Meanwhile, feast yourself with these recognitions that "Hannibal" received this month for its second season. Give yourself a pat on the back because you are watching the best show of 2014 according to prominent news websites.

Wall Street Journal has chosen "Hannibal" as the Best TV Series of 2014, commending it for its "exquisitely designed production." It wrote,

"The best geek show of the year doesn't spring from the four-color (or even black-and-white) world of funnybooks, or even a gritty fantasy world, like "Game of Thrones." No, it comes from a realm of horror, and I'm not talking about the weird fiction-saturated universe of "True Detective."

Rather, this one was created by novelist Thomas Harris in 1981 with "Red Dragon," the first story to feature Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter, and carried through three more books. Bryan Fuller's "Hannibal," which has managed to survive two seasons on NBC despite its relatively low ratings and its often-sickening gore, is a treat for Hannibal Lecter fans and horror-movie buffs alike."

It is not just Wall Street Journal that chose Hannibal as the best of 2014. Even Vulture wrote something that made fans more excited about Hannibal Season 3 release date. In its annual run down of the best TV show, the entertainment website wrote that "Bryan Fuller's TV adaptation of Thomas Harris's fiction is a total vision - mournfully expressionist, shockingly violent, and strangely tender."

"Virtually alone among television dramas, network or cable, it demands that viewers make an imaginative leap and see its nightmarish action as both figurative and emotionally real. It's also one of the scariest shows in TV history, delivering images every week so potent that they lodge in the viewer's memory like rusty barbs."
