Pop sensation Justin Bieber reportedly "reduced girlfriend Selena Gomez to tears" on her 20th birthday after planning a romantic surprise for the singer.

Amid rumors that their romance is on the rocks, the "Baby" singer spoiled Selena on her birthday on Sunday, July 22nd. The famous couple went to the Teen Choice Awards ceremony together and then he whisked her away to an intimate birthday party he'd planned for her at Il Cielo in Beverly Hills, according to the Hollywood Life.

An eyewitness said "Justin made sure that everyone at Il Cielo treated Selena like a princess last night. He was really adorable about it. You could tell that her birthday dinner party meant a lot to him."

"There were rose petals on the tables, which was Justin's idea. He is quite the romantic. The party was held in the back room and was very intimate. There were about 30 guests," the source added.

Teen power couple Bieber and Gomez, have been together for a year and a half now, and have been spotted on many romantic dates.

"My first kiss with Selena was the best of my life. It was in the car. It was scary and spontaneous and it was just awesome," he recalled in an interview with MTV.

"What does love feel like? It feels good. If you're really in love, then you should get butterflies - butterflies and happiness. That's how I feel anyway."

Bieber, 18, earned a whooping $55 million in 2011, making him the second highest paid celebrity under 30, just behind Taylor Swift who earned $57 million. Bieber has a new album called "Believe" which came out on June 19.
