Kristen Stewart Cheating Partner Rupert Sanders Father Says: 'A Lot of fuss about nothing'

Kristen Stewart was caught cheating on boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson with the Snow White and the Hunstman director, Rupert Sanders in which she starred in. Sanders father has stepped forward and said that the affair between the two is not a big deal.

"From what I gather nothing really happened and it is all a lot of fuss about nothing," Michael Sanders told People. "I should imagine it was something very brief. She is a very pretty girl and when you work that closely with someone for so long, sometimes things happen."

UsWeekly broke the story and has tell-tale photos of the two in an intimate embrace. According to the magazine, the two were "kissing like crazy".

"He is very honorable, hardworking and [a] dedicated father and filmmaker," Michael continued defending his son, who is married to actress Liberty Ross, with whom he has a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old. Rupert himself has since said he is "utterly distraught" about hurting his "beautiful wife and heavenly children."

Kristen and Rupert both acknowledged what happened and issued statements of regret. "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," Stewart said in a statement Wednesday, according to Perez Hilton. "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry,"

Sanders said that he is "utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," in a statement to People. "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."

The 41-year-old British director is married to actress Liberty Ross, 33 - who ironically starred as Kristen Stewart's mother in Snow White - have two children together, 7-year-old daughter Skyla and 5-year-old son Tennyson.

Reports have surfaced that Pattinson has moved out from the Los Angeles home he shared with Kristen Stewart. NY Post sources say Pattinson was "stunned and heartbroken" when he found out that his girlfriend - although only official now - of four years cheated on him.

Stewart and Robert Pattinson were last seen walking the carpet at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night. The couple met during the first Twilight film in 2008, and almost immediately, rumors began to make the rounds that they were romantically involved. They have remained mum on their relationship until now. The last installment of the Twilight film, Breaking Dawn - Part 2, is due in November.
