Katy Perry is reaching out to comfort Robert Pattinson after learning Kristen Stewart cheated on him, according to reports.

The Daily Star reports that Perry sent 26-year old Robert Pattinson comforting messages Friday night as he deals with the news that his girlfriend Kirsten Stewart, 22, cheated on him with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, 41.
The Twilight Saga star is getting support from the pop star following an apology from Kristen who admits to cheating. Pattinson, who has moved out of the Los Angeles home he shared with his co-star and girlfriend, supported Katy when she went through her own split with comedian Russell Brand, 37, last year.
A source close to Pattinson said: "Katy has been a rock for Rob." "She has reassured him she is very much there for him just as he was for her when she split from Russell. She has urged him to take a break with her."
The source added: "He's angry, hurt and upset and is sick of people taking sides already." "He's hoping to get two months to himself without Kristen around just to think things through."
"She has sent him messages asking him to hook up in New York for crisis talks next week but he wants to be alone."
UsWeekly first broke the story after publishing tell-tale photos of the two in an intimate embrace. According to the magazine, the two were "kissing like crazy".
Kristen and Rupert both acknowledged what happened and issued statements of regret. "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," Stewart said in a statement Wednesday, according to Perez Hilton. "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry,"
Sanders said that he is "utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," in a statement to People. "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."
The 41-year-old British director is married to actress Liberty Ross, 33 - who ironically starred as Kristen Stewart's mother in Snow White - have two children together, 7-year-old daughter Skyla and 5-year-old son Tennyson.
