Robert Pattinson wants to get to the bottom of what happened between his Twilight co-star and girlfriend Kristen Stewart and director Rupert Sanders - and he's reaching out to Sanders himself to have a "man-to-man" conversation about it, according to a report.

"Rob wants to have a man to man chat with Rupert to find out exactly what happened between him and Kristen," according to RadarOnline.com.
"Kristen has already betrayed his trust by cheating, so he can't be sure that she will tell him exactly what went on between her and Rupert. Rupert has a wife and a family to save, so Rob feels like he has nothing left to lose and would be honest with him."
The 41-year-old "Snow White and the Huntsman" director was caught smooching his leading lady in the 22-year-old actress's car and the two were later spotted embracing near a romantic spot overlooking the famous Hollywood sign.
"Rob really was blindsided by this and he's going through the typical stages of being cheated on," the report said.
Despite the damning evidence, Rupert's father Michael Sanders brushed aside the scandal. "From what I gather nothing really happened and it is all a lot of fuss about nothing," the unconcerned father said. "I should imagine it was something very brief."
Kristen and Rupert both acknowledged what happened and issued statements of regret. "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," Stewart said in a statement Wednesday.
"This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry,"
Sanders said that he is "utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," in a statement to People. "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."
The 41-year-old British director is married to actress Liberty Ross, 33 - who ironically starred as Kristen Stewart's mother in Snow White - have two children together, 7-year-old daughter Skyla and 5-year-old son Tennyson.
