The former Disney princess, 19, who is engaged to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, proudly unveiled her blonde shaved undercut on Twitter yesterday.
"he loves it :) last night he said I look the happiest he's seen me in a while :) he likes seeing my eyes more," she tweeted.
Cyrus documented the whole hair cutting adventure on Twitter. First, she tweeted images of celebrity stylist Chris McMillan's scissors closing ominously around her golden bun. (McMillan is the creator of "The Rachel," the haircut around which the comedy series Friends was loosely based.
A few hours later, she uploaded images of the finished look, along with several messages warning haircut detractors to keep their comments to themselves. She wrote: "if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else's and it's going bye bye :)."

But the reaction to the crop - which was executed by Hollywood hairdresser Chris McMillan, the creator of Jennifer Aniston's infamous 'Rachel' haircut - was not exactly what she was hoping for.
Rapper Tyler the Creator was among the critics, tweeting, 'Your barber is an a**hole. He later deleted the comment.
Miley didn't seem fazed by the negativity. "Never felt more me in my whole life,' the singer and former Hannah Montana tweeted to her legion of fans, along with a picture of her new do."
Kirstie Alley, the former "Dancing With the Stars" dancer, tweeted her support to Miley. "@MileyCyrus LOVE your hair Queen Bee... All Mod.. Mary Quant, Twiggy, 1960's West End... LOVE."
