"Mass Effect 4" release date is happening in 2016?

While there has been no official announcement about the upcoming game's launch, it has been heavily speculated that Bioware is preparing to bring the hit game to shelves soon.

Details of the announcement is also said to happen at E3 2015 in June.

As fans patiently wait for the announcement of "Mass Effect 4" release date, word has it that new characters would appear in Bioware's game following lead writer Mac Walters interview with IGN.

"Well, I can't get into details, but the idea is that we have agreed to tell a story that doesn't relate necessarily to any of the Shepard events at all, whatsoever," he said.

"That's what we've been deciding for a while. But throughout it all, one of the key things is that it has to be 'Mass Effect.' It can't just feel like a spin-off. It has to feel like a 'Mass Effect' game at its heart, at its core. Just without the Shepard character or the Shepard specific companions."

Walters' statement immediately sparked rumors that Commander Shepard would be out of the game and his child with Liara would replace him instead.

Following the controversial ending of the third sequel of "Mass Effect," which reportedly disrespected the gamers, Bioware made an official statement saying that everyone should just move forward and anticipate that the game's upcoming sequel would mature as interesting twists are expecting to come along.

"It's been 18-19 months since it came out and my thoughts on it are that we addressed it the best we could in the Extended Cut," the game's developer said. "We're obviously not going to be changing anything now. We're only going forward."

Furthermore, a recent development to "Mass Effect" confirmed that the game would expand online.

Senior development director Chris Wynn took to Twitter to assure fans that the decision would definitely be advantageous to the gamers.

"If anyone is concerned that online will take away from single player, I assure you that SP will be MASSIVE in the next Mass Effect," Wynn tweeted.

As E3 2015 event is fast approaching, fans are heavily anticipating that Bioware will announce the official release date of "Mass Effect 4."
