"Under the Dome" season 3 release date has been revealed by CBS, along with their other shows.
In a statement released by the network, the third season of the Stephen King novel-based drama series will open with a two-hour premiere on its new time slot on June 25 (Thursday).
With "Under the Dome" season 3 release date revealed now comes more news about the show's production. First major development is the addition of new character.
Deadline reported that Kylie Bunbury, known for her role in ABC series "Twisted," will head to Chester Mill for a role that could spark a love triangle with Mike Vogel's Dale "Barbie" Barbara and Rachelle Lefevre's Julia Shumway.
"Kylie Bunbury (Twisted) has joined the cast of CBS' summer drama series 'Under The Dome,' from Amblin TV and CBS TV Studios," Deadline wrote. The report didn't state whether Bunbury in the first episode of "Under the Dome" season 3 will still be featured.
"Bunbury will play Eva, a beautiful and intelligent woman who comes to Chester's Mill with her boss, Lucy, in search of the egg. Eva is used to following Lucy's orders without question, but Eva's interest in Barbie (Mike Vogel) may complicate matters for all of them, as well as Julia (Rachelle LeFevre)."
As for "Under the Dome" season 3 release date, it will move to a new air time. CBS statement said:
"It moves to its regular time period on Thursday, July 2 (10:00-11:00 PM), following BIG BROTHER, forming a strong two-hour block of established summer hit shows."
"Under the Dome" Season 3 was first confirmed by CBS in October last year, almost one month since the second season's finale episode.
The show tells the story of people inside Chester's Mill who were trapped by a massive, transparent, indestructible mysterious dome. The occurrence cut them off from the rest of the world and they were forced to deal with each other and their respective secrets that will affect their life inside the dome.
