Seal blasted soon-to-be ex-wife Heidi Klum this weekend by saying that she "fornicated with the help" and now his rep is saying that it was taken out of context and Seal did not mean that Klum cheated on him, only that they are still legally married.

A rep for Seal issued a statement to People saying the singer "would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating on him while they were together." "Rather," the rep said, "he was pointing out that they are separated and the divorce is not final so they are legally still married."

Newly single Klum was recently seen soaking up the sun in a bikini in Sardinia, Italy with her kids, her parents -- and a tall, dark and handsome man. That man is a mystery no more, it was Martin Kristen.

Seal, 49, was asked by the TMZ crew on Friday as he arrived at an airport that he was disappointed with Klum, 39.

"To be quite honest, if there is going to be somebody else in their lives, I'd much rather it was a familiar face. I guess the only thing I would have preferred is that. . . I guess I didn't expect any better from him, I would have preferred Heidi show a little bit more class and at least wait until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were," Seal told TMZ. "But I guess you now all have the answer that you've been looking for the past seven months."

Heidi separated from Seal in January and filed for divorce in April. The two have continued to take turns co-parenting their children, Leni, 8, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.

"Look boys, that's what happens when two people separate. They move on and that generally means [they have] other people in their lives," Seal explained. "I necessarily don't expect to Heidi to all of a sudden become a nun, but as always, my main priority is the emotional well being of our children."

Klum responded to Seal's statement on Saturday. Her rep released a statement to Us Weekly on her behalf: "It is sad that Seal has to resort to this kind of behavior and spread these untruths about the mother of his children.

Klum hinted there was more to her split with Seal in an April interview with ELLE magazine. "To the outside world, you don't really share all the things that happen. You kind of share just the most amazing sides," she explained. "But I don't really want to get into any of that stuff. With my life, my family, my business -- I want to go forward."

According to TMZ, Klum says that she wanted to get divorced because she couldn't handle Seal's explosive temper.
