The Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight is on May 2, approximately two months from now.

Despite that, personnel from the two fighters' camp has already started giving each other blows. In an interview with Yahoo! Sports, Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach dissed the American fighter's father saying the latter won't be enough to help his son in defeating the Filipino boxer.

"My whole thing is, Floyd's not going to have his best cornerman in his corner because there's no question in my mind that Roger is the better trainer," Roach said of Mayweather Sr. in an interview from Macau, China.

"Floyd got 90 percent of his wins with Roger working with him. Roger is way better. I think Floyd Sr. is a terrible cornerman, I really do. That's going to work to our advantage on fight night because in the corner, I'm not going to be nervous and I'll be able to calmly talk to Manny and make whatever adjustments we have to make."

Over the past few days, Senior Floyd has been dropping comments about the highly anticipated Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight. He told ontheropesboxing.com his son will beat Manny badly.

"He's gonna bring his ass to the ring and get it whooped, real bad," said the former welterweight contender.

"It ain't too much for me to say about him to be honest because the thing is, and it ain't no excuse about nothing, this is the fight that they've all been waiting on, all these years, talking about Floyd being scared. Now we're gonna find out."

The 62-year-old's comment in the Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight is understandable given the fact that he is directly related to the undefeated American fighter. For Freddie Roach, those comments of his counterpart are nothing. In fact, those allegedly might not help his son once the ring bells.

"But Floyd Sr. can't get his message out in that minute [rest] period. He gets so excited and worked up and he starts to stutter so he can't give his fighter any useful [information]."
