"Empire" TV series cast welcomed another top-billed artist in its fold in its last episode. Jennifer Hudson made her debut in the Fox musical drama as Michelle and in an instant, she instantly swept the fan base off their feet. Of course, with her being a Grammy artists and the show centered on music, Hudson had to sing. However, more than just her singing gift being shared to the show, what most fans are expecting from her character from now on is possible romance with Andre (Trai Byers), the oldest son of Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) who has a bipolar disorder.

Talking to MTV, Byers discussed what is ahead for Andre and Michelle and how his character will change with the presence of the musical therapist. According to the "Empire" TV series cast, Hudson's Michelle will give him some sense of direction.

"Right now it's about identity. Andre has to find himself again after that big breakdown he just had in front of everybody - his family, his friends, his colleagues. Because that's not the real Andre, and he knows that," Byers told MTV.

"Fortunately, he meets this angelic musical therapist named Michelle, played by the lovely Jennifer Hudson, who opens his eyes to a possibility he had never thought much about," Byers added. "She shows him a different path that he can take - and that he just might take - that would shake things up at Empire."

"Empire" Season Two

Meanwhile, series co-creator Danny Strong revealed they are now discussing their plans for the second season of the show. However, what he is said is some kind of bad news if your are someone who wants to see more of the "Empire" TV series cast, songs, and Cookie's "Boo Boo Kitty."

"I don't know what we're doing yet, it hasn't been decided but I don't think 22 is the discussion," Strong said according to a report by Deadline.

"Empire" TV Series cast will return next week for its two-hour season finale.
