Jessica Simpson Reveals Post-Baby Body, Shares Photo of Daughter in Bikini

 

Jessica Simpson has attracted a lot of negative attention for her weight gain during her pregnancy. Just four short months after giving birth to her first child, daughter Maxwell Drew, Jessica Simpson revealed her post-pregnancy body on the premiere episode of Katie Couric's new talk show, "Katie" on Monday.

The singer and fashion designer tweeted a photo of herself in a flattering black dress, looking svelte and gorgeous as she was getting ready to appear on Katie's show. "On my way to @katiecouric's show! I'm her very first guest - Wish me luck!! #WeightWatchers," she wrote.

The 32-year-old mother admits she packed on 40 pounds -- "more baby weight than [she] was planning" -- while indulging in favorites like chips, guacamole and queso during her pregnancy. "My doctors told me [my pregnancy weight] was a lot of water, and when my water broke ... All the weight did not come out with the baby," the new WeightWatchers spokesperson revealed.
"I really didn't want it to be about my weight. I wanted it to be about the spirit of Weight Watchers."

"My doctors were telling me it was a lot of water weight and I thought, whenever my water broke I would just lose all the weight... My stomach would go down," Simpson added.

During her appearance on the talk show, Jessica Simpson shared an adorable photo of her four-month-old daughter with fiance Eric Johnson. In it, the tot -- sporting some serious bed-head -- strikes a pose, wearing a homemade yellow two-piece over her diaper.
