Although he didn't nab the Best Actor award at the Oscars this year, this doesn't stop Benedict Cumberbatch's new movies from being produced in the next couple of years.

"The Imitation Game" star already has his hands full with his new wife and soon-to-be-born son or daughter. People would think that he'd be too busy being a father and husband for new projects. After all, he did say that he wanted to start "nesting" with his pregnant wife, Sophie Hunter, already.

Nevertheless, his time as Alan Turing in the Academy Award-nominated film propelled his career to a very promising tangent. There would be no other thing for him to do but take on more challenging roles.

Aside from the hit BBC series, "Sherlock," the 38-year-old British actor will also star as Richard III in the network's TV mini-series "The Hollow Crown" in 2016.

As for Benedict Cumberbatch's new movies, he will reportedly be appearing in "Black Mass" later this year where he will be playing Johnny Depp's brother.

He will also be going back to the theatre to portray Shakespeare's tragic Prince of Denmark this August. Tickets for "Hamlet" sold out as soon as it was released worldwide.

When 2016 comes rolling in, the father-to-be will be involved in more films. According to the actor's IMDB page, he will be voicing Lewis in the upcoming animated fantasy film, "Magik."

He will also be working for Marvel as the mystical neurosurgeon "Dr. Strange."

It was also previously reported that Cumberbatch is being eyed to star in the upcoming Gary Oldman-helmed film "Flying Horse." He will allegedly join Amanda Seyfried and Ralph Feinnes in the Eadweard Muybridge biopic.

Benedict Cumberbatch's new movies also include Disney's upcoming "The Jungle Book" live-action remake. The talented actor will be voicing Mowgli's enemy, Shere Kahn.
