'Gears Of War 4' Xbox One Release Date Announcement Happening At E3 2015! Black Tusk Studios 'Making A Massive Progress' With Rod Ferguson Taking Over

While there hasn't been an official announcement for "Gears of War 4" Xbox One release date, speculations lead to an E3 2015 announcement.

Black Tusk Studios under new GM, Rod Ferguson following the exit of Hanno Lemke, assured fans that the team is determined to develop the sequel.

In addition, "Gears of War 4" is now expected to actively gear up following the transition with Ferguson, Hardcore Gamer reported.

Furthermore, Game Spot reported that Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed that "Gears of War 4" Xbox One release date is right on track despite the changes and that the developer is "making a massive progress" with the game title.

"The thing that was great about the early Gears of War games, to me, [was] just the epic scale of the settings that I was in," Spencer explained. "The story, the setting was a lot more what I would call soulful and maybe even a little dark. And [Rod Fergusson] and I have talked about this; I think the game over time became almost more of a parody of itself; not for any kind of horrible reasons. It's hard to continue to manage the IP."

Furthermore, Spencer hinted that instead of making a sequel "Gears of War 4" would most likely become a reboot when it hits Xbox One console.

"And Gears 2 did well, Gears 3 did well," he said. "So I thought the franchise continued to grow. But we've talked about getting back to something ... I think the story and the setting and what they're going through ... in a Gears of War--the name of the game, it really meant something to what that game was about. We've got to get back to that. The feeling of those individuals."

"Gears of War" game series was previously under the development of Epic Games before the acquisition of Black Tusk Studios.
