Lionel Messi News: Joe Hart Says This Player Is Better Than The Barcelona Star; Find Out Who Is It

Mar 27, 2015 12:51 PM EDT | By Evelyn Hammond

Lionel Messi news is what mostly dominate football talks ever since the start of 2015.

Barcelona has been a beast all over Europe and that comes at the expense of other bigger clubs. The Catalans recently kicked reigning English Premier League champions Manchester City out of the UEFA Champions League and then won against El Clasico rivals Real Madrid and then.

While Barcelona's great form is such a welcome development for fans, this latest Lionel Messi news might not sit well for them. Joe Hart, the ManCity keeper who tried his best to stop the Argentinian player in the second leg of their UCL match (and succeeded), said Messi is not the best in the world because someone he knows is better than him.

His name is Sergio Aguero. Of course, this would sound a little bias as Hart and Aguero are teammates. The English goalkeeper, however, has an explanation.

"Messi is absolutely awesome, but I'm backing Sergio because he's my player," Hart told reports in a conference before England-Lithuania Euro 2016 qualifier. "Just working with him on a daily basis and, from what I've seen this season, the best is probably Aguero. He just knows how to score."

Interestingly, Messi and Aguero are both playing for Argentina and are actually best friends.

Hart further explained why Sergio Aguero is better than Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

"We've got a good team, but in training he excites you most days and he's also got that ability on the day to do it. He's got the skill to turn a long clearance into a goal because he's got that ability to take it round five people and score. It's a great thing to have.

"Sergio is a very natural player and in a one-on-one situation there is nothing complicated about it. He takes that option to score."

Will fans agree with Joe Hart? Is Lionel Messi not the best right now?
