Taco Bell Officials Plan To Expand Franchise Services To Include Deliveries

Taco Bell officials are planning to test out a new delivery service later this year available at all franchise locations, Nation's Restaurant News reports.

"Even though it's the No. 1 request from consumers, we have to make sure we can give them an experience that's consistent with Taco Bell, and that's what we're working through," Chief Executive Officer Brian Niccol told the site.

"We have to figure it out, and I can tell you right now we don't have it figured out."

Taco Bell, a subsidiary of Yum! Brands Inc., has undergone numerous efforts to cater to the Millennial market, of which the proposed delivery service is included.

The fast-food franchise may also feature a new loyalty program aimed at engaging customers through digital means. The online feature would allow consumers to customize their orders and receive easy access to deals offered nationwide.

Additionally, Taco Bell has also begun to place more emphasis on its breakfast menu, adding dishes like the biscuit taco and the upcoming Cap'n Crunch delights.

"I know a lot of people are talking about creating modern fast-food brands, and a lot are trying. But we're already on our way," Niccol also said during the interview.

"We're continuing to move Taco Bell into its own category."

Taco Bell was founded in 1962 in Downey, California.
