'Revenge' Season 4 Episode Guide: Two-Word Finale Title Hints Of Show's Official Farewell?

Apr 11, 2015 09:32 PM EDT | By Evelyn Hammond

Is ABC TV series "Revenge" coming to and end? Right now, there are no words yet from the network whether the show will get renewed or cancelled.

Starring Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe, this psychological thriller has already spanned four seasons and 84 episodes.

There are still five episodes left in the fourth season but with the latest "Revenge" season 4 episode guide released, fans can't help but think, is this the last year they will see Emily Thorne and Victoria Grayson?

The title of all the episodes aired since the first season only have one word. However, in the minor "Revenge" season 4 episode guide from Spoiler TV, the show made a major alteration. The finale has two words in it and those words might signify an "ending."

According to the website, the 23rd episode of the show will be called "Two Graves" apparently based on the Confucius proverbs that was used in the show: "Before embarking on a journey of revenge, dig two graves."

Fans are thinking there must be a huge reason why they will use a two-word title this time. Does two graves means deaths? Are they Emily and Victoria who for years figured in so many battles and deception?

Showrunner Sunil Nayar explained what this "Revenge" season 4 finale episode title means as per reported by TV Line.

"It certainly sounds ominous, doesn't it? "We've only ever done one-word episode titles since the show began," showrunner Sunil Nayar reminds, "and the show began with this quote Mike [Kelley] had chosen from Confucius: 'Before embarking on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.' We wanted ... to tell people that there is an element to this journey that will be over [in the finale]. You just have no idea for whom those graves are dug, or who will end up in them.""

Is "Revenge" ending for good next month?
