'Hannibal' Season 3 Premiere, Spoiler, And News: Dr. Lecter And Will Graham Will Have A Bitter Sweet Reunion, Says Bryan Fuller

"Hannibal" season 3 premiere episode won't see lead characters Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) together like what happened in the first two seasons.

Following the events in last year's finale, Hannibal has to run away and the country he chose is Italy. He will be there with Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) while Will, as well as Agent Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) and Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas), are recovering from their wounds.

Series developer Bryan Fuller himself confirmed that the "Hannibal" season 3 premiere will be mostly about Hannibal and Bedelia who will pretend as couple in Europe.

Fans of the unique relationship between the cannibal doctor and the gifted FBI profiler should not feel sad though as the two will have a bitter sweet reunion as the season progresses. This reunion of the two was described by Fuller as a 'touching' scene.

"There's a scene that is so touching, when they're finally reunited and able to have a conversation," Fuller said in an interview with Digital Spy without indicating when and where exactly this would happen in "Hannibal" season 3.

"Mads and Hugh and their friendship are such amazing assets to the show, and you see all of that. It's like 'It's really good to see you, but this is a terrible situation that we're in, and you're actually a terrible person, but I've found a way to forgive you in the way you forgive a shark for being a shark'."

Going back to the "Hannibal" season 3 premiere, scheduled for June 4, Fuller teased that fans should watch out because what they will see is a different Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier.

"Yes, she has quite a big role in the first half of the season, and she's hilarious. There's one episode in particular, episode six, where she is laugh-out-loud funny, and it's such a treat because you don't see a lot of comedy from Gillian Anderson in her roles, but she's very funny as a human being and incredibly funny as an actress when she turns it on. So that was really fun to see, and I can't wait for people to see that episode in particular because she's just a delight."
