PS4 Release Date For 'Tekken 7' Confirmed? Bandai Namco To Bring Classic Fighting Game Under Real Engine 4?

"Tekken 7," which was recently and successfully launched in the arcade is expected to have a PS4 and Xbox One release date as well.

Bandai Namco has yet to officially announce the classic fighting game's coming to the new generation consoles, however according to Christian Today the giant gaming company is expected to announce "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One release date at EVO 2015, which is scheduled on July 17 to 19.

In line with the PS4 and Xbox One release date news, Game Spot reported that new characters are being added to the line up in addition to the upgraded original characters with Yoshimitsu being the latest.

New characters for "Tekken 7," which are now playable in the arcades include Gigas, Josie Rizal, Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Katarin and Claudio.

And according to Silicon Era director Katsuhiro Harada promised that there will be more and more characters to be launched during the game updates.

"By the way, currently, we have four new characters, but later on we'll continue to add them through updates, so look forward to it," Harada said. "We don't plan on reducing the number of characters, so yes, we're thinking of adding more."

Recurring characters include Alisa Bosconovitch, Asuka Kazama, Bryan Fury, Devil Jin, Feng Wei, Heihachi Mishima, Hwoarang, Jin Kazama, King II, Lars Alexandersson, Leo Kliesen, Lili, Ling Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Sergei Dragunov and Steve Fox.

And while fans are patiently waiting for the official announcement of "Tekken 7" PS4 release date, there are speculations that the upcoming game will run under Unreal Engine 4.

"With Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it," Harada told Unreal Engine. "Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it also allows us to bring 'Tekken 7' to any platform we desire."
