"Hannibal" season 3 episode 2 called "Primavera" finally shed light on the fate of two of the victims of the gory bloodbath in second season's finale.

Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and Abigal Hobbs (Kacey Rohl) resurfaced this week after not being seen in the pilot. However, as those who have seen the latest episode should know by now, only one of them is genuinely alive.

Will Graham survived the cuts from his nemesis Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and he thought Abigal survived, too. The truth is the teen girl who even accompanied him in Italy in the latest "Hannibal" season 3 episode, was just a product of his hallucination, all part of his unfit mental health condition. That was a surprising twist in the episode. However, fans come across something odd in one of the scenes featuring Abigail. She was noticed by the priest Will was talking, too. This confused many because she is supposed to be dead and it is only Will who assumes she exists.

Series developer Bryan Fuller was quick to explain what people thought is a glitch in the latest "Hannibal" season 3 episode. Talking to Zap 2 It, Fuller said the priest appearing to have seen the dead Abigail is a suggestion that Will is indeed seeing a supernatural.

"We've just seen how much damage Hannibal has done to Will's psyche, and that he is imagining the losses still being present in his life. We kind of do a thing where we are suggesting something slightly supernatural in Abigail's presence when the priest is able to look and see her as she walks by," he said. "There's that moment that was very consciously woven into that episode to say that yes, we're in a heightened world that is very much grounded in a reality, but this is our first supernatural statement that perhaps Will is genuinely haunted by Abigail."

He added it is something put in to give 'legitimacy of delusion.'

"That's a little Easter egg for the audience, and those who do believe in ghosts will put more weight on it than those who don't. For me, it was a way to keep Abigail alive, if only in Will Graham's mind, but also give that some legitimacy outside of delusion."

"Hannibal" season 3 episode 3 called "Secondo" will air on June 18.
