LaMarcus Aldridge – Lakers will definitely be a great tandem if it becomes reality. Over the past days, fans and GMs were busied by the free agency which is still far from being over.

This year is probably one of the busiest free agency with many All-Star players on the list. Los Angeles Lakers has been looking into many teams to improve their awful record last year and LaMarcus Aldridge is one of their targets.

The two camps held discussion yesterday and unfortunately, for Los Angeles Lakers fans, the LaMarcus Aldridge – Lakers talks was a failure. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports tweeted the discussion, which Kobe Bryant himself reportedly attended, did not produce a good result.

“Lakers didn't make strong impression in Aldridge meeting, sources say. Spurs can close on him. LMA expected to make decision fairly soon.” - @WojYahooNBA

The LaMarcus Aldridge – Lakers tandem would have been perfect for both parties. Drafted by the Portland Blazers, the 6'11 power forward is the player the short-handed Lakers needs.

In his nine years with Portland, Aldridge made it twice to the All-NBA Third Team, once in the All-NBA second team and appeared four times in the NBA All-Star Game.

Meanwhile, another All-Star power forward broke the hearts of its suitors. Kevin Love decided to stay with Cleveland Cavaliers by signing a $110 million five-year deal.

In a letter he penned for Cavs fans, Love rue the injury he suffered even before the NBA finals where Lebron James and company lost to Golden State Warriors in six games.

On rumors he will leave Cleveland Cavaliers, Kevin Love wrote:

“At the end of the day, and after meeting with my teammates (it turns out pools are great meeting places) and with the front office, it was clear Cleveland was the place for me. We're all on the same page and we're all in. We have unfinished business and now it's time to get back to work.”
