He has since been spotted hanging out with Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin in Australia. There time together didn't seem to amount to anything romantic as the British artist's friends have reportedly been looking for a girl to set him up with recently.
According to a source from Mirror, the Grammy-nominated singer doesn't want a famous girlfriend and instead wants "someone down to earth and normal to share his life with."
However, recent reports suggested that Ed Sheeran's new girlfriend isn't some anonymous British girl this time.
In the list that Famous Fix published, Sheeran is allegedly dating "Teen Wolf" actress Alisha E. Hearst. Inquisitr admitted that not much is known about the supposed fling and it's still unclear whether it is indeed real or not.
Mirror, on the other hand, gave a more believable report on Ed Sheeran's new girlfriend. The article linked the famed acoustic star to long-term pal and Irish model Louise Johnston.
"Louise and Ed have been friends for years but now they have become a lot closer. They are constantly in touch, even when he is on tour, but he is coming here soon for a gig in Dublin and they will be able to catch up then," a source reportedly said.
"Friends and family now know, so it is out there. Louise really cares about him and it's going very well," the report added about Ed Sheeran's rumored new girlfriend.
Meanwhile, the "Photograph" singer's ex-girlfriend was spotted partying with One Direction member Niall Horan at The Red Bull Tropical Edition party in Soho, London last Friday. Horan was also linked to another of Sheeran's rumored ex-flame, Ellie Goulding.
