Marvel’s ‘Agent Carter’ Season 2 Plot Details Bared At SDCC 2015! Dominic Cooper, Chad Michael Murray Reprise Their Roles!

As expected, more details about Marvel's "Agent Carter" season 2 plot were revealed at SDCC 2015. Showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters talked about the show's move West and what to expect for Peggy's next adventure.

Fazekas and Butters told Entertainment Weekly that Peggy's move to Los Angeles is work-related. She's still an SSR agent and is called to investigate a murder "that goes beyond what normal LAPD or normal police would be able to handle."

The showrunners also talked about the show's inspiration for its film noir vibe.

"We keep talking about 'LA Confidential' and 'Chinatown' and those great stories where you find out one thing - you're investigating one seemingly isolated crime, and it unveils a huge web of conspiracy and awfulness."

Along with Enver Gjokaj (SSR Agent Daniel Sousa), James D'Arcy (Edwin Jarvis) has been confirmed to reprise their roles. Fans have wondered how Jarvis would tag along Peggy (Hayley Atwell) this time as his employer Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) hasn't been confirmed yet but now we know how it will be worked into the Marvel's "Agent Carter" season 2 plot.

"He's been there helping Howard Stark set up his new estate in Beverly Hills. [Howard] is doing government work," the show's SDCC 2015 panel revealed as reported by Cinema Blend.

Atwell told Den of Geek last week that Cooper will return for season 2 although she didn't say if he'll be a series regular or in a recurring role.

Fazekas also told EW that Chad Michael Murray (SSR Agent Thompson) will be back to reprise his role. He's now head of SSR New York taking over from Agent Dooley (Shea Whigham) who died last season.

When ABC released its synopsis, Marvel's "Agent Carter" season 2 plot teased "a new love" for Peggy. Many think it's Gjokaj's Agent Sousa although fan favorite Angie Martinelli, played by actress Lyndsy Fonseca, is also a candidate.

But when asked if we'll see more of Angie next season, Fazekas said they're not sure yet. We'll have to wait and see for further developments.

"Agent Carter" season 2 isn't expected to premiere until the midseason on ABC.
