While fans are mostly disappointed with 2K Games' decision not to present "Mafia 3" at E3 2015, there are rumors claiming that the gaming studio is just preparing for a big release date announcement happening at the game's 13th anniversary.

Happening on August 28, there are reports claiming that 2K Games will finally get to announce the release date to the highly anticipated "Mafia 3."

"Every fan and gamer were expecting either game developer 2K Czech or game publisher 2K Games to make an announcement about 'Mafia 3' in the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 held last month," Master Herald reported. "But since nothing came out at all, the next best date is during the exact 13th year when the first game of the series came out, cites Mafia Game Info."

And while not much has been revealed when it comes to the game's details, PC Gamer noted that 2K Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. has registered four domains for "Mafia 3."

According to NeoGAF the domains include, mafia3thegame.com, mafiaiiithegame.com, mafiathree.com, and mafiathreethegame.com.

Master Herald added that the timing of the domain registration is spot on with the speculations claiming that 2K Games will finally announce the release date of "Mafia 3" during the game's anniversary.

And while no official statement has been made yet, Master Herald added that the game will actually introduce three new characters based on real-life Mafia personalities namely, Tony, Mickey and Franklin, which IGN also reported.

"Franklin is reportedly an African American who was born in Louissiana. He is in his early 20s, about six feet tall and has a muscular build. He is depicted as an outsider to both white and black society but is fiercely loyal to those whom he considers as his family. He is also street-smart, strong, disciplined and knows how to get a job done.

Tony, who is also born in Louissiana, is of Italian descent. He is in his early 30s, thin, well-groomed and wears his dress very neatly. He is also calm, but he is said to be capable of resorting to violence if anyone gets his ire.

Mickey is also born in Louissiana. He is said to be in his late teens or early 20s with an average build. He is described to be a talker, someone who likes to talk big but cannot back it up with real actions. He also has a bad habit of taking credit for bigger jobs even though he was not part of it or hardly was part of it."
