Thanks to a report on Psysworld, Korean viral song "Gangnam Style" has recently attracted another 100 million viewers on its official YouTube video. That is more than three years since it trended worldwide along with the artist Psy's other hits.

Is Psy going to be back on stage?

Psysworld reported that "Gangnam Style" earned another 100 million to its viewers after reaching the 2.3 million peak three years ago. As of press time, the hit Korean hit song is now at exactly 2,404,349, 064 views.

Last June, "Gangnam Style" reportedly broke a record on YouTube for being the first video to garner two billion views on the video sharing platform.

Forbes and The New York Times reported "Gangnam Style's" viewer surge contained controversies that surround the viral video, such as a video ad buying platform allegedly helping the official video reach the number of hits it has now.

"Breaking down their figures, it can be surmised that Psy has earned just another $2 million from YouTube ads, almost all of which come from the 'Gangnam Style' clip," the Forbes report said.

It has also been reported that YouTube "keeps 50 percent of the revenue earned" from the videos, and the rest goes to the creator.

KPopStarz and Psysworld previously reported that the viral Korean artist will be back in 2015 for a new album and will add a hip-hop tune to its songs to cater to the U.S. market.

His other hits, "Hangover," "Right Now," and "Gentleman" are also keeping up with the race to the billionth viewer. These videos now have around 215 million, 31 million and 871 million views respectively.

With several concert venues springing worldwide, Psy is hinted to be back on stage on a world tour.
