Sony Xperia Z5 Premium The Best Flagship So Far? Unveiled At IFA 2015

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium and siblings unveiled at IFA 2015.

After settling in the rumor mill for quite some time, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium finally came out from the wild bearing a monstrous specs and features.

Sony have undoubtedly set the bar higher with its introduction of 4K display - the first on mobile devices.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium renders an Ultra HD or 4K resolution with the highest pixels per inch of 806 packed in a 5.5inch display, while Z5 has 5.3-­inch Sony Triluminos 1080p display and Z5 Compact sports a 4.6-inch screen display with 720p resolution, all revealed at IFA 2015.

"I believe there is still great potential for innovation within consumer electronics. At Sony we'll continue to make advances that make your life better and to provide you with wow experiences," CEO Kazuo Hirai said, according to NDTV.

Like its siblings, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 paired with a 3GB of RAM. Though it carries the same OmniBalance design of the Xperia Z3, it can surely endure "tear and ware" as these three phones were rated as IP68, meaning they're dust and water proof.

Moving on the Xperia Z5 family camera department, Sony has bumped up its sensor with1/2.3 Exmor RS for mobile 23-megapixel sensor and f/2.0 G lens.

Thus, the company claims it "boasts "fastest autofocus in a smartphone" at 0.037 second," NDTV added.

Another interesting feature of the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is its external storage expansion of up to 200GB and its fingerprint scanner integrated with its home button.

Also, it is backed by a 3,431mAh battery and supports fast charging, "giving up to 5.5 hours of power from a 10-minute charge, and Ultra STAMINA mode," IB Times added.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is said to be released in November after its appearance at the IFA 2015.
