Will "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel finally introduce highly anticipated characters namely, Mrs. Robinson and Jack Hyde?

While that hasn't been discussed yet, there are talks claiming that "Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder could appear in the BDSM sequel as the antagonist, Jack Hyde.

Being one of the most successful movies this year, it's natural that the team is now getting ready for the sequel.

Apparently, the second installment to the trilogy titled, "Fifty Shades Darker" will introduce key characters from the novel such as Jack Hyde and Mrs. Robinson.

It was earlier reported that "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" star Henry Cavill was rumored to take on the role of Jack Hyde.

Jack Hyde, who plays the antagonist in the novel as Anastasia Steele's (Dakota Johnson) boss in her internship program, is said to finally be introduced in "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel.

And according to Melty, "Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder is the perfect actor to take on the role.

"Most widely known for playing Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries, he's had plenty of practice of getting up to no good, making him a solid choice for the next Fifty Shades villain," said the publication.

Melty's suggestion came after "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill finally denied his involvement to the movie adaptation of E.L. James' novel.

In a previous interview with USA Today, the 32-year-old British actor admitted that he just "messing with everyone" when he allegedly insinuated his involvement in "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel.

"I'm not in 'Fifty Shades of Grey.' I'm for real. I'm just messing with everyone," Cavill clarified.

Thus, the Jack Hyde role has clearly yet to be filled.

Meanwhile, the sequel which reportedly suffered from a major set back when it's director suddenly decided to drop off from the project has now apparently found a new helmer.

According to an exclusive report by Variety Universal has officially offered the directorial seat to James Foley. However, Foley has yet to comment on the said news.

He became famous for his works such as, "After Dark My Sweet," "At Close Ranger," "Freed" and "Reckless."

Despite said conflicts from the first movie, author E.L. James is confirmed to be very much involved in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel as producer with Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti.

Her husband Niall Leonard has been tapped to pen the script.

While, lead stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are both returning as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel titled "Fifty Shades Darker" is set to hit the theaters on Feb. 27, 2016.
