Xbox One System Now Available For Download, Backward Compatibility Arrives In November

Microsoft rolls out a new Xbox One system update.

The new system update which weighs 263MB is now available for download. Reportedly, it is not a Preview Members exclusive which means the update is for all Xbox One users. Gamers will be notified when the update is available as it is" slowly being made available across all regions," Gearnuke reported.

According to Microsoft, the update brings Stability and performance update that "provides a few minor fixes that address an in game audio issue."

Segment Next added, this minor system update could be a preparation to Xbox One's major update called Xbox Backward Compatibility feature arriving in November.

The Xbox Backward Compatibility feature is currently available to Preview Program Members. This feature will highlight over 100 Xbox 360 games playavble on Xbox One in which more games will be added in the months to come. This feature also includes screenshots, streaming, and game DVR,Gematsu reported.

In addition, the Xbox One November update will also brings the integration between Microsoft Windows 10 and Xbox One called "OneCore" that " involved the team creating a highly customized version of Windows 10 built specifically for Xbox One," GDN9 reported.

"Windows 10 for desktop PCs has incredible momentum right now," Mike Ybarra, Director of Program Management for Xbox said.

"We're going to bring all of that efficiency to Xbox One."

He also noted that the New Xbox One Experience will load popular gaming features 50 percent faster.

The New Xbox One Experience includes a revamped OneGuide to make TV, movie and video apps more accessible, overhauled UI for easier access to previous games used, a new Community section and more.
