Reportedly, HTC One A9 visited benchmarking site Geekbench with a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor onboard paired with a hefty 4GB of RAM, the duo found on the Acer Predator 6 gaming phone, Digital Trends reported.

Geekbench revealed a whopping 5884 score for the MediaTek Helio X20, while Samsung Galaxy Note 5's scored 5084, and the OnePlus 2s score of 4741, Tech Radar reported.

IB Times added, MediaTek Helio X20 chipset scored 1,835 in the single-core test which it outperformed NVIDIA Tegra K1's 1,903 score.

According to GSM Arena, with the MediaTek Helio X20's deca-cores is the most powerful chipset available in the market today.

Also, "the chip maker has apparently employed the 20 nm process to manufacture the chipset."

Thus, making the HTC Aero A9 energy efficient by 30%, IB Times added.

"The two are going to be Cortex-A72 cores, which should perform a lot better than the Cortex-A57s in other high-end chipsets. The other eight cores will be Cortex-A53, divided into two different clusters for maximum performance with minimum power drain," GSM Arena wrote.
