Following its very successful season 2 opener, "Empire" continues to wow fans are episode 3 continues.
Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) is finally out of prison! That's probably the most important happening in this episode.
And while Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) together with Hakeem (Bryshere Y Gray) and Andre (Trai Byers) try to establish a new music company, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) offers Hakeem a post to return to Empire Entertainment.
Hakeem however, did not take the offer as he decided to help his mother build their own "empire."
Episode 3 begins with Cookie trying to make a move against Luscious and the Empire Entertainment.
Cookie will team up with Anika Calhoun (Grace Gealey) for a secret performance while Hakeem is trying to establish a successful girl group called Ménage a Trois.
Meanwhile, Lucious who's just been out of prison will do everything to regain what's been taken from him. He will have the help of his son, Jamal. Lucious will try to get Grank Gathers' (Chris Rock) daugther, Young Ma (Bre-Z Murray) to join his team.
While the ex-lovers battle it out, Andre (Trai Byeres) on the other hand, is struggling to get his professional life going.
He's sitting waitng for his father's approval as he also waits for the arrival of his baby, whom they believe will be the key to Lucious' cold heart.

"Cookie and Anika work behind Lucious' back to pull off a performance that will catch Pitbull's eye; at the same time, Lucious tries to convince Frank Gather's daughter to sign with him; and Hakeem focuses his energy on making Ménage a Trois a success. Meanwhile, Andre and Rhonda pin their hopes of a return to Empire on their baby to come."
