Comcast's 'Xfinity Home Control System and Ecosaver' Keeps Energy Costs Low and Families Safe

As part of its partnership with NBC Universal and Twitter, Comcast has developed an Xfinity Home Control System catered to those living in apartments, and condo communities particularly Florida residents a Business Wire press release reported.

The new home automation system allows users to monitor their homes, families, and pets from anywhere, and at any time while keeping energy costs low.

"Customers want innovative, affordable technologies that can help them monitor and manage their homes whether they're at home or away," Tom Zemaitis. vice president, sales and marketing for comcast's Florida region said in a statement. "With Xfinity Home Control, Comcast offers a total home solution that simplifies your life."

Customers can view and receive live video and still images from their homes, remotely schedule and turn lights on and off; and program, set, and adjust their thermostats the press release reported. Users can also receive real-time text and email alerts when doors and windows open or close, kids arrive home from school, and when pet sitters and babysitters arrive or leave the house.

The system also allows customers to monitor, access, control and stay connected to their home using Comcast's free xfinity home app on an iPad, iPhone, tablet or Android device or by using a personal subscriber portal.

The system's Xfinity Home's Ecosaver component also helps Florida residents have lower energy costs since the state has the highest annual average temperature according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration the release reported.

According to the company, the Ecosaver is a new cloud-based computing service that adapts to each home's cooling and heating patterns.
