Angelina Jolie Talks About Sex Scene With Brad Pitt! ‘It’s The Strangest Thing In The World’

Nov 13, 2015 09:27 PM EST | By Mic Florendo

Angelina Jolie has been very open about her experience filming her latest movie with Brad Pitt entitled "By The Sea."

This will only be the second time that the husband and wife appear in a movie together. The first film was more than ten years ago when they played a married couple who were also both assassins in "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."

The 40-year-old actress and the 51-year-old actor reportedly fell in love on the set of the 2005 film, but they appeared more comfortable doing the intimate scenes when they were still not married than their upcoming movie.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly via Us Magazine, Angelina Jolie admitted that shooting the sex scenes with Brad Pitt in "By The Sea" was extremely awkward.

"It's the strangest thing in the world to be lying naked in a bathtub with an iPad that's showing you the shot outside, while your husband is at the door and you're directing him to come in and make love to you," she said. "[And] in front of a bunch of other men with cameras."

Angie and Brad also revealed how she and her husband were able to go through the sex scene.

"Love scenes are strange anyway, but when you're doing a love scene with a person that you really have sex with?" she explained. "The only way to get through it was for us to all talk about the absurdity of it and make sure no one was feeling awkward."

Apart from starring in "By The Sea," Jolie also wrote and directed the film which makes it more difficult for her.

"I couldn't get out of the bathtub to get to the monitor because the director is naked," she shared. "We're artists and want to be free, but Brad - it's his wife. He was on towel duty. He'd hold the towel over me."

Just like any husband, the "Fury" actor still managed to perform his duty to his wife even on the set of their latest film.

Watch Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reunite on the big screen in "By The Sea" starting Nov. 13.
