Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes recently guested on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" where both artists discussed their love lives, including their rumored romance.

During the guesting of Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's guesting, both performed their latest collaboration single, "I Know What You Did Last Summer," after they had endured an interview described by Direct Lyrics, in its report, as the "most awkward interview ever on James Corden's 'Late Show.'"

The interview started with Shawn Mendes talking about the success of his debut album "Handwritten," and in return, also praised Camila Cabello for her "amazing" career with Fifth Harmony.

The interview, however, started to became awkward when James Corden started asking Mendes about his love life, which according to Direct Lyrics, is a "delicate" subject because of rumors about Mendes being gay. The interview became even more difficult when Corden pushes the topic further and asked

Mendes and Cabello if they have already have made out.

Corden kept asking Mendes and Cabello on the dating rumors about them and kept repeating the topic to the point that both interviewees are already looking off. "No, we're not dating," both Mendes and Cabello insisted. But Corden would reply, "I don't believe you."

One proof that shows that Mendes was already reaching his limit was when he seemed to be angrily replying to Corden with "I don't care!" when the host still insisted he doesn't believe they were not dating.

Trying to escape their awkward situation, Mendes opened up, "Every time I've tried to make a move, she's [Camila] like nah." His statement only added up to their situation's difficulty, especially when Cabello replied, "You have never made a move on me." And she said it with an emphatic "never," which made Mendes look like a liar.

Mendes and Cabello started going together on tour after they collaborated with "I Know What You Did Last Summer," which is part of the extended version of Mendes' album, "Handwritten."

"This is my first time writing a song with another artist, and I think this is her first experience writing a song herself, too," Mendes said (via Rolling Stone).
