Floyd Mayweather Jr. Has Something Good To Say About Manny Pacquiao, Warns Terence Crawford

Nov 27, 2015 10:33 PM EST | By Rolly Gacelo

Did Floyd Mayweather Jr. flawlessly won against Manny Pacquiao in their fight?

The retired American fighter believes so but he has a warning to the man on the other side of Manny Pacquiao's next fight - don't use his smooth win as a basis.

Floyd, sporting a record-tying 49-0 win-loss card, warns Terence Crawford, the man being advertised as the next opponent for the Filipino boxer, to never underestimate Pacquiao.

"If Terence Crawford happens to fight Manny Pacquiao, I want to let him know that it's not going to be easy. Even though I know I made it look easy, it's not going to be easy," he told Ben Thompson of FightHype.com.

Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao squared off last May 2 in what was called "Fight of the Century."

The American came out victorious in the match via unanimous decision, with two judges scoring it 116-112 and the other 118-110.

He also told Thompson that the Pacquiao he fought and dominated is better than what he previously thought and this is something Crawford should be wary about.

[Pacquiao] can fight. He's a lot better than what I thought he was. From me being in the ring with Manny Pacquiao, I take my hat off to him and I can see why he went so far in his career," Floyd Mayweather Jr. continued.

"Terence Crawford gotta realize that Pacquiao is bigger and stronger than [former Crawford opoonent] Yuriorkis Gamboa, and he hits harder. He [Crawford] can fight, but I don't want him to think that just because I made it look that easy with Pacquiao, it's going to be that easy."

Freddie Roach and Top Rank CEO Bob Arum are yet confirm a name who will stand on the other corner for Manny Pacquiao's next fight.

Among those they are considering are Crawford, British boxer Amir Khan, and Timothy Bradley, who Pacman already fought twice and got split result. Juan Manuel Marquez and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are also being courted but both have already declined the offer.

Pacman's camp said they will announce his opponent by January next year.
