The entire SPN fandom believes that the prophet Chuck Sherley (Rob Benedict) is actually the runaway God in the series.
With the recent "Supernatural" season 11 spoilers that lead actors Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki revealed to Entertainment Weekly, this little mystery might just get unveiled soon.
Ever since the start of the show, the Winchester brothers have battled demons, angels, and all kinds of monsters on their own.
They have been to hell, heaven, and even purgatory several times to either save the world or save each other. Not once, according to their knowledge, has God helped them through their troubles.
This time, however, they're dealing with God's sister, Amara, who embodies the Darkness. Although it's still unclear whether she's out to destroy the world that her brother created or not, she's still a formidable entity.
It's no wonder then that Jared Padalecki, who plays the younger brother Sam, believes that they need God's help with this challenge.
"I don't think they can," he answered Entertainment Weekly when asked if the brothers can prevent apocalypse by themselves this time as well.
On the other hand, Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean, revealed some "Supernatural" season 11 spoilers that varies from his onscreen brother's idea.
"Whether or not the boys can fight the Darkness without God is a question for us as audience members but is one of those things that's not a question for the Winchesters," he shared. "They're going to do it come hell or high water, with God's help or with God trying to stop them."
Even the actors don't know what God will do exactly but Ackles does know what the brothers will do.
"I'm not saying which of those is going to be the case, but no matter what, I think the boys are committed to righting this wrong. So with or without God's help, the boys are going to try and stop the Darkness," he continued.
