Christina Aguilera is a staunch supporter of presidential character Hilary Clinton. She even helped raise $1 million for the senator through a "surprisingly tranquil" event at "The Voice" coach mansion, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Although she was expecting some sort of chaos to erupt at the fundraiser, the night went more smoothly than expected. She co-hosted the event with her producer fiancé, Matthew Rutler.

"There was a lot of traffic and vendors coming and going," she relayed to the publication. My sister said, 'I thought today was going to be chaotic because of all the Secret Service, but I've never been here when it's been so peaceful.' "

As to why Christina Aguilera fully supports Hilary Clinton, the pop star revealed that he admired the senator's strength as a woman.

"She's so courageous and always bounces back," she further shared. "It's that strength and fighter mentality that I can raise my own daughter to look up to."

The songstress' strongly supports the politician's promise to be more "active and vigilant" in upholding voters', women's, and LGBTQ rights as well as immigration reform.

Women's rights hit rather close to home for Aguilera as she witnessed her mother's abuse in the hands of her father when she was younger. According to US Weekly, she even worked on several songs about it.

"It's a subject that really hits home with me because I've always been pretty vocal and open about my own experiences in witnessing domestic violence in the home and neighboring homes around me, so it was something that was pretty constant in my younger upbringing," she recently told the magazine.

She reportedly wants to "speak my truth and [help] others to find theirs and to find their own hope in a hopeless situation."

The "Fighter" singer wasn't the only celebrity who is supporting Clinton's run.

Katie Holmes, Christina Milian, music executive Irving Arzoff, and even Muse singer Matthew Bellamy also showed up at the Beverly Hills mansion to show their support for Clinton.
