'The Flash' – 'Arrow' Crossover Episode Postmortem: Is Patty Going To Be Sent Away?

Dec 02, 2015 09:13 PM EST | By Rolly Gacelo

Heroes of the present and villain of eternity collided in "The Flash" - "Arrow" crossover episode titled "Legends of Today."

Vandal Savage is relentless in capturing and killing Kendra Saunders/Hawkman but Barry Allen, Oliver Queen, and friends won't allow it.

Over at Central City, STAR Labs people who didn't join Barry and Cisco to Star City got busy, too. They were busy formulating a vial to make the Flash faster until things took wrong turn when a clueless Patty Spivot breaks in and shot Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) thinking he's the same guy Central police is hunting. She was wrong, obviously.

Joe West rushed to STAR Labs and all he did to Patty was send her away without telling her the truth. Is this the end for Shantel VanSanten's character?

Barry will be confused of what to do with his current lover as according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, he will get polarizing opinion from his colleagues.

"You see it moving forward, especially with Barry's interactions with Iris, where Iris is telling him, 'As your friend, I'm telling you that the way you handled things last year was terrible, and you caused a lot of unnecessary hurt and you caused people to be in danger, and you have to do things differently if you really care about this girl,'" Kreisberg told Comic Book Resources after the latest "The Flash" - "Arrow" crossover episode.

"On the other hand, he has this new version of Wells telling him, 'If you really care about this person, you keep her as far away from all of this as possible, because if Zoom finds out, he'll kill her.' Barry is really wrestling with those two things moving forward."

"The Flash" returns next week for its fall finale titled "Running to Stand Still." Read synopsis below.

"When Mark Mardon AKA The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) returns to break Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) and James Jesse AKA The Trickster (guest star Mark Hamill) out of Iron Heights, Barry (Grant Gustin) must stop these rogues from taking over Central City during Christmas. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) meet Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale)."
