There's no stopping "Star Trek 3: Beyond."

With the release date all set, the cast and crew are also actively gearing up for the sci-fi sequel.

And while many of the cast in the third installment are returning actors, "Star Trek 3" is also going to introduce new actors in the line up.

One of whom is the dashing, Idris Elba, who is reportedly going to play the new villain in the upcoming film.

And while many will keep details underwrapped, the 43-year-old English hunk has gamely shared details about his character.

"Simon and the team have written a very interesting, complex journey for my character," Elba revealed to MTV. "You've never seen me play a character like this."

Idris Elba further teased that his character is going to add a "different twist" to the word "villain."

"I think Star Trek has prided themselves as being quite classic when it comes to villains. He's a guy who wants to end the world, there's no doubt about that. But in this version of the film, there's a slightly different twist to that."

Additionally, he confidently claimed that his character is going to be "groundbreaking" for the "Star Trek" franchise.

"It's quite an interesting journey, which I think is groundbreaking for the franchise. But it still keeps with the 'classic bad guy is a classic bad guy' tone."

And while Idris Elba could not stop gushing about his character, Simon Pegg, who is a returning actor and at the same time script writer, has also provided interesting details about "Star Trek 3: Beyond."

Talking to Coming Soon, the "Hot Fuzz" actor excitingly talked about the shooting.

"It was fantastic fun," Pegg said. "It was emotional highs and lows all the way because we were under a lot of pressure, because the timeframe was a lot smaller than it would normally be."

"You write a film of that size, you usually get a year or so, but I think we started maybe six months before we went into production," he added. "Just under six months and we were already in pre-production, which meant that things had to be designed and set pieces had to be created and the pressure on us to deliver was extraordinary, but me and Doug Jung, together with Justin (Lin) and our producers Leslie, just stood up to it and did it, and actually by the time we started shooting, it had become pretty fun."

"It was tense the whole time, but it was a pretty amazing train set to get to play with."

"Star Trek Beyond" cast line up includes Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Karl Urban as Leonard McCoy a.k.a. Bones, Zoe Saldana as Uhura, John Cho as Hikaru Sulu and Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov.

The movie will introduce series new comers, Idris Elba (Pacific Rim, Prometheus) and Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service) in still unknown roles.

"Star Trek 3: Beyond" release date is set on July 22, 2016, Variety confirmed.
