Xiaomi Products US Release Date: Yi Action Camera Ready To Ship Through Amazon

Xiaomi finally enters the US market with its Yi action camera on Amazon.

The Chinese tech company's action camera which made its debut at the Mobile World Congress 2015 gets its release date in the US. Xiaomi Yi is now available at $99.95 exclusively on Amazon.

According to Tech Times, the retailer offers a camera kit which includes the camera itself with a Bluetooth remote for $139.94.

Also, it offers different compatible accessories for the Xiaomi Yi action camera like a handlebar bike mount priced at $15.95, and official Yi camera Waterproof case for $32.95.

The Xiaomi Yi action camera is equipped with 16MP camera with the ability to record stunning 1080p60 HD videos made possible with Ambarella A7LS & Sony sensor.

It also features 155 degrees ultra-wide angle lens for panoramic shots, Bluetooth connectivity, and a microphone.

As for its storage, Xiaomi Yi has an onboard of 32GB storage that can be expanded via a microSD of up to 128GB. Its 1100 mAh battery can keep the camera running for up to 90 minutes of continuous usage.

Android Community added, Xiaomi Yi can be controlled through an Android Smartphone and can play real time video streaming through Yi Action application that can be downloaded on Google Play. In addition, other features include four photo modes, 11 video modes, motion compensation and blur reduction, 3D noise reduction, and image stabilization. A color option of lime is also available on Amazon.

Now that Yi action camera is already official in the US, its introduction could pave the way for Xiaomi's other products. One of these could be the 2014 flagship Xiaomi Mi 4 which has been reportedly approved for US market release by the FCC, according to Christian Post previous report.
